The 54th Oxford Scout Group is the first Muslim Scout Group to open in Oxfordshire. The first of many as Banbury is now working with the local community to open two new groups in the town. Over 40 members, family and friends turned up at the East Oxford Sports Hall to see Sadiq Abbasi and Glen Wilson invested as leaders followed by over 30 Beavers and Cub Scouts. The Group has an exciting programme of adventurous activities for the future and will be a great asset to the local community.

Newly invested Cub Scout, Ameera, aged 10, said “I am really looking forward to camping and cooking. I really like cooking”
