International Service Team
Six members of Oxfordshire Scout County have been selected to attend the Jamboree to work as part of the volunteer Service Team, made up from people around the world willing to work hard, have some fun and experience the Jamboree in a particularly unique way.
Teresa, Linda, James, Andrew, Vikki and Alistair will join others from around the world to ensure that 30,000 young people have the experience of a lifetime.
European Voluntary Service
Kate Wilson, a former Jamboree Unit Member from Oxfordshire (Thailand, 2003) has volunteered to be part of the European Voluntary Service to work with Scouting Sweden in the planning and set up of the World Jamboree ready for its start in 2011. This involves taking part in a wide range of training and preparation events throughout 2010.
A great way to get involved in the management and running of a world Jamboree. We wish her all the success and luck with the preparations to make sure it is a great experience for all concerned.
